For this hop we will be featuring the letter 'B'. This may be the name
of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has
chosen as their 'B' element will be featured in their post.
If you came from Jenifer then you're on the right track!
~ I gathered my supplies & got ready to create~
Decided to try a couple of techniques using watercolor pencils
~ Using our paper trimmer I cut all the pieces I was going to use ~
Ready to stamp...
OOPS! Have you ever stamped & the image did not come out clearly?
Well as you can see it happens to the best of us! No worries, just turn the paper over ~ Thankful that there are 2 sides!
I stamped a couple images...
One using the Blender pen,
one using the Shimmer pen and
one using the water brush...
The first Hippo is blended using the blending pen
the middle one is using the shimmer brush
the last one is using the small round waterbrush...
The stamped image I choose for my project is the one in the centre ~ I used the clear shimmer brush on the pink... and a blending pen for the grey!
~ Now to fussy cut out the images ~
I just LOVE my non stick Micro Tip ScissorsUsing a colonial White card base & adding a 1 1/2" strip of polka Dot paper from the Whimsy Fundamental paper collection
I wrapped a piece of baker twine (this is a color no longer availalbe ~ the whisper color would look great) around the piece of 4 x 3 Smoothie cardstock & tied a bow.
Stamp the sentiment on the cardstock & then adding 3D foam tape to the back to adhere to the card.
The hippo is also popped up using 3D foam tape & added to the smoothing cardstock mat.
then stamp the sentiment "Tu Tu Cute"
Have you ever dropped the stamp & block after stamping ~ Let's call it being creative!
You will notice a faint Tu at the top of the finished card ~ I think I may stamp the entire background with second generation Tu Tu Cute random stamping
~ What do you think?

Your card is really "tu tu cute" I love the card and especially appreciate all the step by step instructions and reflections. I've use the sander on white daisy when I get a smudge or ink where it doesn't belong. If it isn't too bad, it really works.
ReplyDeletegreat tip... I was setting up for the photo & dropped the not dry stamp on it! BOO!
DeleteYes, oops, been there, done that, though I actually didn't see the spot until I read it in your post and had to look really hard to find what you were talking about hahah. I hope that sanding works.
DeleteI love that you are finding a "solution" to your small problem! I love the opportunity to think outside the box! The card is so cute! The coloring on the hippo is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much ~ Kind words! I love coloring!
