I just Love creating Home Decor Items

This is a Layout I created ~ we had a great day at Homesteader Days in Kingston
Mom & Dad LOVE their Ice Cream...
Delicious!

For my card:
I used colonial white & grey cardstock
Colonial white grosgrain ribbon
Bitty pearls (30th anniversary is Pearl)
I used several stamps to get the sentiment on the front and on the inside I use 10 Things & substituted 30

For the frame:
Matt is white & Lagoon Blue Cardstock
Stamp is from

For the 2 page layout I used the workshop on the go
Hopscotch (one of my favorite)

Scrap Booking layouts

I have been helping Dad with sorting through some of mom's stuff in her craft room ~ her very full craft room...

I came across some pictures that she had ready to put in their scrapbook ~ so I am finishing off all the albums so dad can enjoy them

Here are a few of the pages:

First is a 2 page layout using Florentine (previous paper packet).  There is space on the first page for a large picture that we are getting printed.  the 2nd page shows a beautiful rainbow & the evening sky afterwards ~ there were 4 oictures altogether, so I used flip flaps for the additional pictures and there is a place for journalling inside (I have left all journaling blank so Dad do this)

2 page layout
Flip Flaps open, showing pages for journalizing the event

I have taken the page out of the page protector so you can see it clearer

Happy Anniversary ~ this was from Mom & Dad's 50th Wedding anniversary in 2011
Again I have left the Journal spots for Dad to fill in (or let me know what he wants written)

This will be a long process, and Dad is looking forward to all the albums being finished to enjoy ~ I am enjoying spending the time scapping for Mom!

Keep on playing with Paper!

If you came from Darlys blog ~  Crafty Happy then you're on the right track!

I love Camping ~ and I am sharing that love using the Camper Crazy stamp set

I made 2 projects for the letter "C"

Here are a couple of cards that I have made using
Chalk It Up Paper

 Card 1
~ Card 1 open ~

These cards are a standard top fold card
mounted on a B&T base 5 x 6

Can you see how when the card is open the background mat frames the inside? Cool right?

Card 2 ~

Then I decided to make an album for  my Camping pictures
from this past summer with the girls!

First I create my project, then print pictures for inside,to the size needed & only the pictures I need ~ no waste in printing

Let's untie that ribbon & see what this mini album is all about...

Front Cover page

 Unfold a page

Inside pocket page 1

So do you like the edge of the photo mat having a scalloped edge?
or rather it be plain ready for pictures?

Back page 2
This is one of the back pages without a pocket so I added the camper gluing only one side & the bottom so I could slip in a photo mat & a tag for journaling.

unfold one more page

Inside pocket page 2
Another Pocket page ~ this time with a plain edge Kraft page inserted

Back page 1
Another back page with no pocket ready for a camping picture

The Album completely opened up

Inside pocket page 3

Inside pocket page 4

Pocket page insert ~ photo mat in Kraft

Back page 3 ~ photo ready

Back cover page 5 ~ Photo Ready!

It's all about CARDS and Valentine Creations

Welcome to the •MAKE•IT•Crafty• Seasonal Blog Hop!
This month we will be featuring Cards & Valentine Creations

If you've arrived from Wendy, you are on the right path!
The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.
If you get lost, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here at the Scrapzone

This month we have a number of Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using various CTMH products to help you get
in a loving mood for Valentine's Day.

So I have created a Mini album from Picture My Life cards
Always~

This was a fun project... I think mini albums are my new favorite thing...

Mini pockets with tags, Fold out flaps with a pocket tag, more flaps that fold out and even mini pages

On this inside back cover I added a Flip Flap to keep special mementos from a Valentine's Day adventure

Here is what you need to make this mini...
Pictue My Life cards Always
I choose a favorite Picture My Life card set, 2 sizes of PML cards that suited the project I had in mind... in this case I was doing a horizontal album... if any of the cards were vertical, I will cover any words with a picture or mat it with another card.

Bainbridge
Bainbridge or Medium weight Chipboard/box board for cover
(if you use chip board you may want to cover it with cardstock if the kraft color is not your thing ~ the bainbridge I used was Black on one side & white on the other so co-ordinated well with the always cards!

Materials

Washi Tape to coordinate with your PML cards
Ribbon
Bling

Flip Flap 4 x 6

Supplies

Glue
Stylus
Bone folder
Micro tip scissors
ruler
You will also need an exacto knife or a really good cutter that will cut through medium weight chip board

Thank you so much for following along on our Blog Hop today! I hope you enjoyed all the lovely artwork… Now it’s time to head on over to Emma's Blog and see her artwork! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas!

Look for our next Blog Hop where we will feature beautiful Easter projects, see you soon!
